The list of heroines for the "Marmayogi" been increased as it was expected that it was two heroines but the number had been increased to five. Now Universal Hero Kamal Hassan has finalised the top 5 sensational ladies of the Industry for his upcoming project "Marmayogi". The busiest actress Trisha being roped for the film and she is going to appear as Kamal's lover in the movie while Shreya Saran play as his wife. A source revealed that the actress Hemamalini will appear in a negative role for the firs time against Kamal Hassan for the film "Marmayogi". Yes, five deadly females. They are heroine Trisha who will appear in most number of scenes, followed by Hema Malini who is rumoured to be playing the role of a negative character. Marmayogi Photo Shoot

Actor Kamal Haasan is not aversed to experiments. Known for trying out innovations and novelties in his films, the actor has managed to shoulder the momentum in a high spirit for the last four decades in Tamil cinema.

In his last 'Dasavatharam', he played 10 different roles which were strikingly different from one other and caricatured his emoting skills to a new level.

Vikram to dance with Shreya and Mumaith Khan

Vikram-starrer Kanthasamy is taking a long time to complete and yet it always pops up in the news for different reasons. A while ago, a song sequence shot in Mexico has attracted a lot of interest in the film. In this song based on the famous bullfights of Mexico, both Vikram and Shreya were dressed as matadors.

Now, the makers of Kanthasamy have decided to cash in on the item number frenzy in Indian films by roping in hot and sexy Mumaith Khan for a song. Moreover, it will also be a remix of an old hit (comedy actor Chandrababu's 'Pambarak Kannale Kadhal...'). Mumaith will shake a leg with Vikram in the song.

Kanthasamy is directed by Susi Ganesan, who had earlier directed films like Virumbugiren, Thiruttu Payale and Five Star.

The film already has the very hot Shreya as heroine. With Mumaith also appearing in an item number song, there is no doubt that the screen will be scorched by these two beauties. With so much to expect from the film, it is no wonder audiences are eagerly waiting for it to release.

Shobana in Marmayogi

My goodness! The list of heroines for Marmayogi keeps extending and we think Kamal Haasan should be feeling enough with it. After roping in Hema Malini, Trisha and Shreya, the latest heroine joining the long queue is none other than actress Shobana who has been the classiest performer of all times. She has earlier paired up with Kamal Haasan for the film 'Enakkul Oruvan' and now she has been offered to play a meaty role.

Shooting for the film would commence by next month in Mumbai and major portion is scheduled at Southern, Western and interiors of Karnataka. Kamal's 'Marmayogi' 4-heroines

Next to Kamal Haasan's dream project 'Dasavatharam', the magnum opus 'Marmayogi' has already made it to the news stirring expectations that it will be nothing short of incredible.

Latest buzz is a new technique of spray makeup is being used in this film. An accolade is that this is first ever happening in the history of Indian Cinema. The latest news is about the heroines of this film.

Acquainted news is that Trisha has already been roped in to play the heroine. Shreya has also rendered her consent to appear alongside Trisha in another lead role. Now it is learnt that there will be 4-heroines in this film. Kamal's 'Marmayogi' to kickstart soon

'Marmayogi' is garnering every bit of attention ever since it was announced and the latest news is that the film will start shooting in October in Mumbai. The film will be directed by Kamal and stars Trisha, Shreya, Hema Malini and Venkatesh apart from the versatile actor himself. The film is to be made in Tamil, English, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously.

'Dasavatharam' opened across many theaters with mixed reviews but then has made it quite majestically to hundred days. Adding to this majestic appeal is the way 'Marma Yogi' is being planned.

Reports indicate that the Red Camera will be used and a Hollywood cinematographer has been roped in. Kamal and make-up are becoming synonymous these days and one can expect a flamboyant approach with this period film as well. A team of make-up specialists from Hollywood will be part of the team. A new technique called 'Spray Make-up' is being introduced to Indian Cinema with this film.

An extravagant Project Launch for the film is expected to take place in Mumbai after which shooting will commence. The team would fly to many parts of the world including Sweden and of course many parts in India. Set in the 7th century AD, 'Marmayogi' is expected to showcase a slice of life as it happened then including the diction and social themes.

Kamal Haasan is known to be quite a perfectionist and with his experience, one can expect a stunning affair.

Tamil tution for 'Marma Yogi' Shreya and Trisha

'Marma Yogi' started off with a photo shoot at the AVM Studios in Chennai recently and Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Shreya and Hema Malini were part of it. All actors looked ravishing at the photo shoot especially because of a new form of make-up that was used. Called Spray Make-Up, this is probably the first time it is used for an Indian film.

The results were there to see as both Trisha and Shreya glowed with radiance and charm. Kamal Haasan, who has written the script, will also be directing the film. Touted to be the costliest film to ever come from India the film will be shot using the most modern Red Camera. A cinematographer and a team of make-up artists from Hollywood are expected to be part of the film.

Interestingly, some prominent actors of the film who would dub for themselves like Trisha will be trained to speak in chaste Tamil as was spoken centuries ago. Trisha has been provided with a trainer who has started coaching her in Senthamizh. Looks like the perfectionist in Kamal Haasan does not want to leave any stone unturned.

Producers Association has sent an order to Shriya to act in a film with Dhanush directed by Vetrimaran and produced by Kadiresan.

The same team that made 'Polladhavan' is making another film and Shriya has already taken advance from producer Kadiresan. Shreya returned the advance to the Nadigar Sangam saying the shooting did not start as scheduled and her call sheet had gone for waste.

At the same time, Shreya gave her call sheet afresh for a Dhanush film produced by Gemini Lab. On learning of this, Kadiresan filed a complaint with the Producers Association. After discussions, it was decided that Shreya would work in Kadiresan's film after completing the Gemini Lab production.

Marmayogi Trisha and Shreya

Dubbing voices are saving many a heroine. Tamil actresses are no exceptions. Since films are made with the commercial aspect in mind, no one pays attention to voices. But those who want full recognition, a dubbing voice is a bit of a drawback.

If a film has to be entered for awards, everyone must speak in their own voices. Dubbed voices are unacceptable. If Priya Mani had not spoken in her own voice in 'Paruthiveeran,' she would have missed her award.

Kamal is very alert to this. In 'Hey Ram,' he made even Shahrukh and Rani Mukherjee speak in their own voices. Asin's agrahara Tamil in 'Dasavataram' is her own voice.

In 'Marmayogi' also, everyone will dub for themselves. Even though Trisha is a Tamilian, she does not speak good Tamil. 'Marmayogi' is a historical film and the language is formal Tamil. So, Trisha is training to speak pure Tamil.

If that's the case with Trisha, what about Shreya? Kamal is not sparing her either. She is to speak in her own voice. Maybe Tamil will die a slow death!

Marmayogi Shooting start

Kamal is Big Project Marmayogi is all set to start shooting shortly. The big budget film is expected to cost over 120 crore, reportedly the most expensive Indian movie so far. Yester years dream girl, Hema Malini has already been signed up for the film. She had graced the audio release function of Kamal Haasan's Dasavathaaram, also spelt Dasavatharam, a while back.

Trisha had already committed herself for the film with bulk dates of about 200 days, which means that she will not be able to shoot for any other movie during that time. Though this meant turning down several plum offers in Telugu and Tamil, she jumped at the chance to work with Kamal Haasan and to get the role of a life time with the great actor.

Working with Kamal is so prestigious that leading heroine Shreya has agreed to play the second heroine in Marmayogi as well. Pyramid Saimira and Kamal Haasan's Raj Kamal films will be producing this magnum opus to be directed by the maestro Kamal himself. Previously, Kamal Haasan had directed Hey Raam and Virumandi, both critically and commercially acclaimed masterpieces. The movie will reportedly be made in four languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

The shooting is all set to kick off in Sweden in October.

Versatile actor Vikram will be trying his hand at singing with his latest film Kanthasamy. Music director Devi Sri Prasad has persuaded Vikram to lend his voice for one of his compositions for this film.

The film Kandasamy is simultaneously being shot in Tamil and Telugu. With actress Shreya acting opposite Vikram, the movie has been titled Mallanna in Telugu. Vikram is apparently playing a kleptomaniac in the film, due to which he undergoes some problems. Veterans Thotta Tharani, A. S. Laxmi Narayanan and Vairamuthu, winners of nine National Film Awards between them, take care of the art direction, audiography and lyrics respectively.

Shreya plays Sarath’s daughter!

Shreya Saran has signed on the dotted line to play Sarath Kumar's daughter in his ambitious K.S Ravikumar project Jaggu Bhai.

The film is being produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar's Raadan Media Works. The buzz is that Shreya has signed the film for a record amount.

Shreya was first offered the dual role of daughter and mother in the film. She made it clear that she was only interested in doing the daughter's role. The film is said to be a "different take on father-daughter relationship".

Sneha who was to play the mother's role has opted out after Shriya was signed. And after she has decided to take the glam route (Pandi), Sneha is in no mood to play Shreya's mom!

For the first time, Vikram has sung a duet along with Suchitra in Susi Ganesan's action adventure Kanthasamy.

It is a sort of a question and answer sing song that goes like this- Excuse me Mr. Kanthasamy….. and will be picturised on Vikram and Shriya.

The song is one of the five, foot-tapping numbers tuned by music director Devi Sri Prasad. At the launch of the film, a few months back a special trailer was made for the occasion where this song was played in the background.

Director not satisfied, the way Shriya kissed

It was the shooting of Kanthasamy, and for a scene Shriya has to kiss Vikram.  A special fees was agreed and paid to Shriya for the same.

The director detailed Shriya how the kiss should be.  Shriya too agreed and kissed Vikram.

The director Susi Ganesan of the movie was not satisfied with the kiss that Shriya gave Vikram.  Director demanded more closeness and Shriya tried twice and yet not able to satisfy Susi Ganesan.

Shriya refused to act in a kissing scene

It has been reported that Shriya refused to act in a kissing scene in the film and walked off out of the sets. The actress is very much upset with the rumors. She says that there is no kissing scene at all in the film. This was supposed to be happened in Kanthasamy shooting.

Having spotted by Hollywood producer Ashok Amrithraj for his Indian-American movie, Shriya is seemingly becoming the apple of International Indian directors' eyes. Last heard, she has been roped in for a significant role in Mira Nair's next venture. Mira Nair's choice of Shriya gains prominence since she's usually smitten only with actors whom she thinks can deliver substance.

Shriya said she is "delighted to be a part of Hollywood movies" after having proved herself in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Vadivelu showers honor on Shriya

The release of Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan on the 1st of February is confirmed and while speaking about the movie to our Behindwoods correspondent, Vaigai Puyal avers, "The film has come out very well and everybody in the unit is very satisfied. It is sure to be liked by children as well as early stages population. There is a good response in the distribution department also."

When asked about the dance number of Shriya, Vadivelu was all praise of this slim heroine and her professionalism. The most awaited film for this Pongal is Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan. The shooting for this film is entirely over and Vadivelu plays for four different roles in the movie which required four different voice dubbing. The glamour girl of South India is said to have changed her stand in comparison with item numbers.The issue came up when she appeared for a song in 'Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan' and the lass reacted boldly saying that she was not averse to appear in item numbers and that she would do it in future too.

But, it is strongly rumored that, following sharp reactions from the leading heroes, she has retreated from her position. It was even said that she lost her chance to act opposite Ajith's next, directed by Raju Sundaram. She is believed to have lamented with some reporters about the loss.

Dress controversy: Shriya apologies

Actress Shriya drew the rage of the Hindu Makkal Katchi due to the illuminating attire she wore for the Sivaji silver jubilee celebrations; hence she is in the eye of a gale. Now, she has apologized to the offended party for her 'inappropriate' dress.

In her statement, Shriya said that she was offering an unconditional apology to anyone who was offended by her dress. She also said that she would also be writing a letter to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi (who presided over the function), apologizing for her dress.

The actress said that she had come directly to the function from Istanbul, where she was shooting for the Hindi film Mission Istanbul, and hence did not have any time to change. Shreya trouble with filmmakers

Shreya is drawing mixed emotions from the film industry these days. On one hand, she goes about giving pleasing surprises and on the other hand, she irks people whom she's working with. The pleasant surprise- The current president of the Tamil actors' guild announced that all actors and actresses in Tamil film industry must henceforth become a life member of the guild by paying a fee of Rs 30,000. Even before a resolution was passed making this compulsory, Shreya and a few others came forward to pay the fee and become members. The irking Shreya is now working in a new film with Tamil actor Vijay. It was during the making of this film that she received an offer to star in Mahesh Bhatt's Hindi film. the actress took a break from the Tamil film and went to Bollywood to complete the Hindi assignment. Problem is- the Tamil film is now stuck in a jam because everybody else have completed their roles and the hero is waiting for Shreya to turn up so they'd complete their combination shots. Shriya Hollywood project

Along with Shriya, the cast of The Other End of the Line includes Jesse Metcalfe, Sara Foster and Anupam Kher. The movie, a joint venture of Adlabs and MGM is co-produced by Ashok Amritraj, is directed by James Dodson. The story of The Other End of the Line deals with an Indian call-center employee who falls in love with a guy in San Francisco through her telephone conversations with him. She then travels to the country to meet him. Shriya says she just loved the storyline and her role. "It is a great project. All my co-stars are very encouraging and supportive. I work in a different system with all things planned," says Shriya. But how did Shriya get this role? Long ago, Shriya and Ashok Amritraj met by chance at an airport, but after that, neither of them kept in touch. When Amritraj decided to make this film, it was Shriya who came to his mind as the apt heroine. Shooting began in October 2007 and has completed schedules in Singapore, Delhi and Mumbai. Next, the crew proceeds to the next destination, New York. The movie will release in 2008. "So far, the film has come out very well. I enjoy every moment being part of the great project," says a jubilant Shriya.

There is also a small sofa-cum-bed where I love to relax," says Shriya. "My room has a collection of paintings that have been collected by me and my mother over the years. Vadivelu, who is donning three different roles in 'Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan', had explained the press about how they got the hot girl Shriya dancing for a single song in the movie. According to him, the producer Manikkam Narrayanan approached Shriya to appear in the song and the heroine obliged. It was purely a professional decision by the actress, Vadivelu added. Indralogathil Na Azhagappan, the film where Vadivelu plays three different roles, is a fabulous comedy. The music of the film is to be launched at Sathyam Cinemas on December 9th. Released under the Pyramid Audio label, part of Pyramid Saimira Theatre Limited, the audio will be released by Surya and the first copy will be recieved by Simbu. Shriya with prosperity of offers

Shriya has plenty of offers coming her way. She has become celebrated both in Telugu and Tamil industry. Her Hindi film 'Awarapan' went on to become a hit. ‘Kanthaswamy’ will be my blockbuster: Vikram

Chiyaan Vikram is quite confident about his forthcoming project Kanthaswamy's success. He predicted that the movie would be his best in terms of commercial success. "It will be my blockbuster movie", declared the versatile actor, while talking to a reporter. Chiyaan also hinted that the movie would be an example of stylish making of a movie. "You will see a different Susi Ganesan in 'Kanthaswamy'", says Vikram. The national award winner has also expressed his desire to play a role like the one played by Aamir Khan in 'Tare Zameen Par'. "It is an amazing film. The hero enters the scene only after the interval. It is not possible in Tamil movies and I am not an exception to this rule. If given a chance, I will act in such films". Now it is up to the filmmakers to make a 'Tare Zameen Par' in Tamil. If anyone dares to make such an attempt, here is an actor with proven ability to handle different roles.

Mansoor in ‘Kandasaamy’!

Natural rainwater helps Kandasamy group

The Vikram-Shriya starrer Kandhasamy is directed by Susi Ganesan and the shooting is going on in full rock now. Monsoon which is playing in Tamil Nadu now has been a blessing for the Kandasamy team. So the director has decided to save an non-natural studio rain and shoot a scene where Vikram gets wet in the rain with the natural ongoing monsoon. The shooting was held on Chennai's East Cost Rd. Vikram's father Vinoth Raj is to play an imperative role in the film Kandasamy.

Vikram’s Kanthaswamy in Windhoek

Vikram's Kanthaswamy is moving on in full pace. But it did hit a obstruction a few weeks ago after its director, Susi Ganesan, was injured when a pole in the shooting spot fell on his head. He suffered only a minor injury and was out of the hospital the very same day. Shooting resumed soon after and is going on as per program. This movie hit the headlines right from the day it was inaugurated; with a grand function that was even aired live by a television channel. Some of the stills released even showed the stars, Vikram and Shriya, in the jungles of Africa dressed up as tribals. These stills will soon come to life as the team prepares to leave for Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, on December 10, 2007, to shoot some of the talkie portions and also a song in the forest areas of Namibia. They will camp there for a 10-day long shoot, and are anticipated to wrap it up on December 20, 2007. All those who thought those stills were just a part of media hype gimmicks – wake up, it's a Susi Ganesan film. So what you see is what you get.

Indrajit, bad guy

With a month-long shooting for Kanthaswamy completed in and around Chennai, the whole team is now getting set to take off to some exotic, never-before-filmed locales abroad. The heroine Shriya will be joining them shortly. Word has it that the movie has a very strongly characterize villain, with a role as powerful as Vikram's. To perform that role, director Susi Ganesan is yet to finalise any artiste. The latest news is that the person being seriously considered for this part is Malayalam actor Indrajit, Prithviraj's brother. If rumours are to be believed, there will also be a bad-guy-Vikram also in the movie! Does that mean he will be playing a double role? Possibly! Other actors being considered for the villain's role are the hot handsome Arjun Rampal, Suman and Irrfan Khan.

Kanthaswamy shooting delayed!

Shooting of Kanthaswamy, starring Vikram and Shriya in the lead, directed by Susi Ganesan has been stopped for a while following an accident that occured on the set. Director Susi Ganesan was injured while planning a shot with the cameraman Ekambaram at the Chennai Boat Club. A rod put up as part of the set fell on the director's head. Susi Ganesan was immediately rushed to the hospital. He is fine and the deep cut in his head has been sutured. The shooting will resume after the director is better. Produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, Kanthswamy features Vikram in 10 different roles. The movie has Telugu actor Krishna and Malayalam actor Indrajit also in significant roles. Carrying all the specialties, audiences are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie.

‘Kandasamy’ takes off in rain!

B'coz of the spell of rain, lots of shooting schedules have gone away. Susi Ganesan's 'Kandasamy' has water as its central theme, so how can they shy away from a little rain? Produced by Thanu and starring Vikram and Shriya, 'Kandasamy' shooting was to start today. B'coz of the rainy weather, people did wonder if that would happen. But Susi Ganesan can make nectar out of water. He planned to shoot a scene where Vikram gets wet in the rain today. The scene would look natural and he could also save the cost of making imitation studio rain! The shooting will start on Chennai's East Cost Road and will also move abroad to other places like Kenya. 'Kandasamy' is line up for release on April 14, 2008. Actually, Susi Ganesan had planned yesterday - to shoot this rain scene when it was raining non-stop. As if to act erratic, till noon this morning, there has been no rain at all !!

Simbu to take care of Shreya

After the party of Shreya to Vadivelu, there was no one to take care of Shreya other than those who recently enjoyed one such, i.e. Kanthasamy team which includes Vikram. As there is no takers for her, Simbhu, little finger hero. who always pulls in controversy has taken Shreya and proved himself that he has not changed in any way. Simbu offers heavy package to Shriya

According to the latest buzz, Simbu reportedly offered Shriya a whopping Rs 65 lakh to act opposite him in his next film titled Silambattam. In fact, Simbu had insisted the producers of the film to sign only Shriya at any cost. According to the gossip, Simbu had received an advance payment for the film a few months ago. But the film, which was postponed due to various circumstances. Reportedly, Simbu has instructed the producers not to pay the director and also told the producers to cut corners with regards to the payment of all the other artistes who are yet to be signed on for the film. This is being done to compensate for the payment being given to Shriya.
