Dress controversy: Shriya apologies

Actress Shriya drew the rage of the Hindu Makkal Katchi due to the illuminating attire she wore for the Sivaji silver jubilee celebrations; hence she is in the eye of a gale. Now, she has apologized to the offended party for her 'inappropriate' dress.

In her statement, Shriya said that she was offering an unconditional apology to anyone who was offended by her dress. She also said that she would also be writing a letter to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi (who presided over the function), apologizing for her dress.

The actress said that she had come directly to the function from Istanbul, where she was shooting for the Hindi film Mission Istanbul, and hence did not have any time to change. The Hindu Makkal Katchi had earlier lodged a complaint with the police asking them to take legal action against the actress.
